Caring For Your BRAVA Gear

Our premium fabrics can stand up to your hardest and sweatiest training sessions but deserve a little TLC when it comes to laundering. Below are some tips to keep your gear smelling fresh and ensuring you get the longest life out of your Brava apparel.

LESS IS MORE

Use a residue-free, sport specific laundry detergent (for example, Sport Suds) if possible. Don’t overdo it on the detergent– too much detergent is hard to rinse out and can actually cause bacteria to buildup.

LIKE WITH LIKE

Always wash like garments and colours together.

WASH COTTONS SEPERATELY

Avoid washing technical fabrics with cotton garments or other items that can cause abrasion (such as Velcro, zippers, denim, hooks, etc.) Cotton fluff tends to stick to technical fabrics and can also cause piling of products with Lycra®, which is found in almost all Brava apparel.

SKIP THE SOFTENER

Never use bleach or fabric softener. Harsh chemicals and fabric softeners break down the technical properties of our fabrics including Lycra®, ruining the way they stretch and fit. Fabric softeners also leave a residue on fabrics, creating a barrier which inhibits wicking capabilities and locks in bad smells.
